Connection Methods
Before proceeding with setup, please note that there are two ways to add your device by using a wired connection:
- Ethernet Cable Connection (Recommended)
Provides the most stable and reliable setup via a direct network cable connection. - QR Code Binding (Backup)
Used when the device isn’t found automatically during scanning or pairing fails.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Connect the Power Supply
- Connect the power cable and charging adapter to the device.
- The device will power on automatically.
2. Enter Pairing Mode
2.1 First-Time Pairing
- When powered on for the first time, the camera automatically enters pairing mode.
- You’ll hear “Ding Dong Ding Dong”, indicating it’s ready to be added in the app.
2.2 Re-Pairing (Previously Connected Device)
If the camera was previously paired, it won’t enter pairing mode automatically. To activate pairing mode manually:
- Hold the Reset button for 5–10 seconds.
- When pairing mode starts, you’ll hear “Ding Dong Ding Dong”.
3. Connect the Ethernet Cable
- Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the device.
- Connect the other end to your router or network switch.
- Ensure the cable is properly connected and the router has internet access.
4. Add Device in the App
4.1 Open the App
- If this is your first time adding a device, tap “Add Camera Now” on the home screen.
- If you’ve added devices before, tap the “+” icon in the upper-right corner and choose “Add a new device.”
4.2 Detect and Connect
Once the device is powered and connected:
- If the app finds your device, a “New device found” badge will appear next to the camera icon.
- Tap it to view the device model and serial number (SN).
- If correct, tap to proceed to the “Connecting...” screen.
- If no notification appears:
- Wait until you hear the startup sound.
- Tap “I heard the sound” → “Next Step”.
- On the “Choose your device” page, select your camera model.
- You will be directed to the “Connecting...” screen.
4.3 Use QR Code as Backup
If your device still isn’t listed:
- Tap “Other connection methods.”
- On the “Choose a device connection method” screen, select “Connect via Ethernet cable.”
- On the “Connect the Ethernet cable” screen, tap “Make sure the Ethernet cable is connected”, then tap “Next Step.”
- A QR code will appear — scan it with your camera to complete pairing.
Final Configuration
- After the camera connects successfully, it will automatically jump to “Set a name and location for the device”
- Enter a name and choose a location, then tap “Next Step”
You’ll see “Device added successfully”, then:
- If you need to add more cameras, tap “Add another device” to repeat the setup process.
- If you tap “Let’s start” to go through the installation guide, the app will check signal quality:
- If signal is good, tap “Next Step”
- Follow each step of the on-screen installation guidance
- Tap “Finish” to complete setup
You’ll then return to the Home screen, and the device is ready to use.
