Connection Methods
Before proceeding to setup, be aware that there are two ways to connect your 4G camera:
- Bluetooth Connection (Recommended) → Detects your camera via Bluetooth and transfers 4G configuration automatically.
- QR Code Connection (Backup) → Used when Bluetooth connection fails or the device isn’t found.
This article focuses on the Bluetooth setup method.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Insert a SIM Card
To connect your camera, insert an activated SIM card:
- Option 1: Pre-installed SIM Card (Recommended)
- Already in camera
- Comes with setup data
- Recharge in the app after binding
- Option 2: Your Own SIM Card
- Remove pre-installed card and insert yours
- May require manual APN setup (in app)
- The SIM card must be 4G/LTE-compatible and work with U.S. carriers such as AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon.
2. Power on the Camera
- Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds, until you hear the startup sound and the blue indicator light turns on.
3. Enter Pairing Mode
3.1 First-Time Pairing
- When the device is powered on for the first time, it will automatically enter pairing mode.
- You’ll see the blue indicator light flashing and hear a repeated “Ding Dong Ding Dong” sound.
3.2 Re-Pairing (Previously Connected Device)
If the camera was previously paired, it won’t enter pairing mode automatically. To activate pairing mode manually:
- After powering on the camera, quickly double-press the power button.
- Once pairing mode is activated, the blue indicator light will start flashing and you’ll hear a repeated “Ding Dong Ding Dong” sound.
4. Connect via Bluetooth in the App
4.1 Enable Bluetooth
- Turn on Bluetooth in your phone’s settings.
- → On Android, simply turn on Bluetooth in system settings.
- → On iOS, turn on Bluetooth and make sure the app has Bluetooth permission in Settings.
4.2 Open the App
- If this is your first time adding a device, tap “Add Camera Now” on the home screen.
- If you’ve added devices before, tap the “+” icon in the upper-right corner and choose “Add a new device.”
4.3 Detect and Connect
- On the “Turn on the device” screen, make sure the camera is powered on and in pairing mode.
- Once you hear the startup sound — a repeated “Ding Dong Ding Dong”.
- The app will search for nearby devices via Bluetooth.
- If your camera is found, a “New device found” prompt will appear near the camera icon.
- → Tap it to confirm the model and SN, then proceed to the “Connecting...” screen.
- If not found, tap “I heard the sound” → “Next Step”, then select your camera model to continue. You’ll be directed to the “Connecting...” screen.
4.4 Use QR Code as Backup
- If your device is still not listed, tap “Other connection methods.”
- Choose “Connect via 4G”, then tap “Continue” to switch to QR code pairing.
- Use the QR code method if Bluetooth connection fails or your camera isn't detected
5. Final Configuration in App
- After the camera connects successfully, the app will display the “View Camera Live Feed” screen. Tap “Next Step” to continue.
- On the “Set a name and location” page, name your device and choose a location.
- Once saved, you’ll see “Device added successfully.”
- → Tap “Let’s start” to view the installation guide.
- → If you need to add more cameras, tap “Add another device” to repeat the setup process.
- If you select “Let’s start,” follow the on-screen steps and tap “Finish” when done.
- You’ll then return to the home screen and can begin using your camera.
