Connection Methods
Before proceeding to setup, be aware that there are two ways to connect your doorbell camera:
- Bluetooth Connection (Recommended) — Detects your camera via Bluetooth and transfers wifi configuration automatically.
- QR Code Connection (Backup) — Used when Bluetooth connection fails or the device isn’t found.
This article focuses on the Bluetooth setup method.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Power on the camera
- To access the power button, you need to remove the top cover of the doorbell first.
- Insert the detaching pin into the hole on the top of the doorbell, press gently, then lift and remove the top cover.
- The power button is usually located on the side of the doorbell body.
- To turn on the doorbell camera, press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds.
2. Enter Pairing Mode
2.1 First-Time Pairing
- When the device is powered on for the first time, it will automatically enter pairing mode.
- You’ll see the blue indicator light flashing and hear a repeated “Ding Dong Ding Dong” sound.
2.2 Re-Pairing (Previously Connected Device)
If the camera was previously paired, it won’t enter pairing mode automatically. To activate pairing mode manually:
- After powering on the camera, quickly double-press the power button.
- Once pairing mode is activated, the blue indicator light will start flashing and you’ll hear a repeated “Ding Dong Ding Dong” sound.
3. Connect via Bluetooth in the App
3.1 Enable Bluetooth
- Turn on Bluetooth in your phone’s settings.
- On Android, simply turn on Bluetooth in system settings.
- On iOS, turn on Bluetooth and make sure the app has Bluetooth permission in Settings.
3.2 Open the app
- If this is your first time adding a device, tap “Add Camera Now” on the home screen.
- If you’ve added devices before, tap the “+” icon in the upper-right corner and choose “Add a new device.”
3.3 Detect and Connect via Bluetooth
- On the “Turn on the device” screen, make sure the camera is powered on and in pairing mode.
- Once you hear the startup sound — a repeated “Ding Dong Ding Dong” — the app will begin scanning for nearby devices via Bluetooth.
If your camera is detected:
- → A “New device found” message with a red dot will appear.
- → Tap it to confirm the device model and SN.
- → Select your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, confirm the info, and proceed to the “Connecting...” screen.
If not detected:
- → Tap “I heard the sound” → “Next Step”, then manually select your camera model.
- → Choose a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, confirm the details, and continue to “Connecting...”.
3.4 Use QR Code as Backup
- If your camera still doesn’t appear, tap “Other connection methods.”
- Select “Connect via QR code”, then tap “Continue.”
Use the QR code method if Bluetooth connection fails or your camera isn't detected
4. Final Configuration
- After the camera connects successfully, it will automatically jump to “Set a name and location for the device”
- Enter a name and choose a location, then tap “Next Step”
You’ll see “Device added successfully”, then:
- If you need to add more cameras, tap “Add another device” to repeat the setup process.
- If you tap “Let’s start” to go through the installation guide, on the next screen the app will check signal quality:
- If signal is good, tap “Next Step”
- Follow each step of the on-screen installation guidance
- Tap “Finish” to complete setup
You’ll then return to the Home screen, and the device is ready to use.
