The recommended distance between a camera and CentralHub depends on the installation environment. In general, the closer the camera is to CentralHub, the stronger and more stable the connection will be.
Walls, metal objects, building materials, and other sources of wireless interference can reduce signal strength and communication range.
For the best performance:
- Place CentralHub in an open area.
- Keep the distance between the camera and CentralHub as short as practical.
- Minimize walls and large obstacles between devices.
- Avoid installing devices near large metal objects or sources of interference.
If a camera is installed too far away, you may experience reduced video quality, slower live view loading, or intermittent connection issues.
Tip: If you notice connection problems, move the camera closer to CentralHub or relocate CentralHub to a more central location within your home.
